Summary
Steven goes into his room in the temple to look for answers.
Our Take
This is a slow, contained episode that leans almost entirely on one conversation between Steven and a simulated version of his mom. The emotional beats land, especially when Steven finally voices his frustration with Rose, but the pacing drags in the middle and the room’s whimsy feels like filler. Worth watching for the last few minutes, though casual viewers won’t miss much by skipping ahead.
