Summary
Amethyst acts strangely when she and Steven visit friends in the country.
Our Take
A laid-back country visit that sneaks up on you, spending most of its runtime on jokes and Peridot’s weird farm life before landing a gut punch about Amethyst’s self-doubt. The tonal shift works because the comedy is genuinely funny, though the ending arrives fast enough that you may want the next episode immediately. Worth it for the character work alone.
