Steven and Amethyst compete against each other while training with Pearl.
Our Take
A fun sparring episode that turns into something surprisingly tender, with Amethyst’s insecurity about Steven’s growth getting real room to breathe. The action bits are snappy and the emotional payoff lands without getting preachy. It’s a lighter hour than some of the season’s big swings, but it moves their relationship forward in a way that matters. Worth your twenty minutes.
