Summary
Steven tries to help Sour Cream reconnect with his estranged father.
Our Take
A surprisingly low-key episode that gives Sour Cream his moment, and it lands. Marty is a genuinely awful presence in the best way, and the contrast between his sleazy showmanship and Sour Cream’s earnestness gives the ending real warmth. It’s more setup than payoff for Beach City’s side characters, but the emotional beat is earned and Steven’s role as matchmaker stays sweet without getting sappy.
