Summary
The friends take a trip out of town.
Our Take
A quiet motel trip that turns into the show’s most uncomfortable and rewarding hour yet, as Garnet’s split into Ruby and Sapphire lays bare a relationship we’ve only seen from the outside. The fighting feels painfully real, and the small human moments between Steven and Greg give the tension room to breathe. Slow in places, but that slowness earns the ending. Worth it.
