Summary

Pearl’s attempt to teach Steven the art of sword fighting using a holographic version of herself goes awry when she gets injured and has to retreat into her gem to heal.

Our Take

A decent midseason episode that leans on Pearl’s overprepared nature for laughs, and the running gag of the hologram mimicking her is genuinely funny the first couple times. The holo-Pearl fight gives the action some real energy, but the story itself is thin and the resolution arrives pretty quickly. Fine for a casual watch, just don’t expect it to stick with you afterward.
