Summary
Optimus struggles to obtain the Allspark. Megatron figures out Optimus’ plan and orders an attack on the Autobots, who receive an unexpected assist.
Our Take
This is a decent action hour that finally gets some momentum going after a fairly slow stretch. The arrival of the surprise ally gives the Autobots a much-needed jolt of energy, though Megatron outthinking Optimus again makes Prime look a bit hapless. The animation still shines during the big fight. Worth watching if you’ve stuck with the season this far.
