Our Take
A busy premiere that spends most of its runtime establishing the new look and attitude of this reboot, which will either charm you or grate depending on your tolerance for the chunky, cartoony style. The action scenes have real energy and the humor mostly lands, though the villains feel like an afterthought. Worth a look if you’re curious where the franchise went next.
