Our Take
This is the episode where May’s backstory finally gets room to breathe, and it mostly earns the wait, though the flashbacks run a bit longer than they need to. The monster-hunting thread with Duvall and Shaw is thinner but keeps things moving. A solid, quieter hour that trades spectacle for character work, and it pays off better than expected.
