Summary
The Birthday Prank War between Co-Chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds escalates as Wrexham is reminded of the fragility of the city’s rebound on and off the field.
Our Take
The prank war stuff could easily feel like filler, but here it actually lands because the show keeps cutting back to the real stakes around town. It’s a lighter hour that still carries an undercurrent of worry about whether the club’s momentum can last. Easily one of the better episodes this season, and worth it for the birthday payoff alone.
