Summary
Following Neil’s act of violence, Allison and Patty must decide how to handle him; Patty questions Allison’s friendship; Kevin makes a campaign ad and Allison tries to derail his run for office.
Our Take
The season two premiere spends a lot of time tidying up last year’s cliffhanger, and the cleaning-up drags a bit since you can guess where it’s heading. Annie Murphy and Mary Hollis Inboden still make the Allison and Patty friction feel raw and real, though the Kevin campaign subplot is mostly filler. A serviceable setup episode, but the show clearly has better gears than this.
