Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Archer is fuming after the Kreetassans refuse to part with parts for Enterprise because of a diplomatic gaffe involving his dog, Porthos, who then falls ill with a mysterious disorder. But Dr. Phlox thinks there’s more to Archer’s rants than meets the ear.
Our Take
This one leans hard on Archer stomping around shirtless and moody while his dog sickens, and the comedy of a captain losing his temper over a beagle wears thin fast. The Phlox scenes have some charm and the ending is sweet, but it’s slight stuff. Fine if you like the characters, skippable if you don’t.
