Summary
Archer’s awkward breakfast with Reed is interrupted when the Enterprise enters a minefield and Reed has to defuse an explosive affixed to the hull.
Our Take
A solidly tense hour that finally gives Reed something to do besides stand at his console. The defusing scenes have real bite, and the Archer/Reed bonding works better than it has any right to, though the Romulan reveal is more tease than payoff. It drags a bit in the middle with repetitive hull chatter, but the claustrophobic finale earns it. Worth a watch.
