Episode Summary & Review
Summary
When a technologically superior race, the Qomar, discovers the Doctor’s singing talents, he becomes a celebrity among a race that never developed music. His newfound popularity makes him consider resigning his commission to stay on the alien world, embracing a career in opera singing with his millions of adoring fans.
Our Take
A solid Doctor showcase that leans on Robert Picardo’s real singing voice, and he’s genuinely good enough to carry it. The ego-trip angle gets a bit repetitive in the middle, and the Qomar are stiff even by design, but the ending lands a quietly sad note about fame and being valued only as a novelty. Worth a watch if you like the Doctor episodes.
