Episode Summary & Review

Summary

After working with an arms dealer, Seven of Nine starts having mental images of the arms dealer holding her captive and stealing Borg Nanobots from her. Captain Janeway starts an investigation into the matter with the help of the Doctor.

Our Take

This one leans on a premise that felt more thought-provoking on paper than it plays on screen. Seven’s confusion about her recovered memories is handled well, and the ambiguity about who’s telling the truth gives Ryan some good material, but the middle section drags through repetitive interrogation scenes. It’s a decent character hour with an ending that lands, just don’t expect much excitement along the way.
