Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Janeway is forced to rely on her own devices when Torres and Tuvok are captured by the Mokra during an away mission to find tellurium. She is then assisted by a man who thinks she is his daughter.
Our Take
A surprisingly emotional hour that leans on a guest performance more than usual for this show, and Joel Grey delivers as the confused old rebel who mistakes Janeway for his dead daughter. Kate Mulgrew plays the guilt and tenderness well, though the rescue plot around it is pretty thin stuff. Worth watching for the character work alone.
