Summary
During a shuttle mission to replenish Voyager’s food supplies, Neelix and Lt. Paris discover an embryonic pod and become caretakers of the hatchling infant.
Our Take
A weirdly charming middle-of-the-road episode that mostly works as a Neelix and Paris buddy hour. Their jealousy over Kes feels forced and a bit childish, but the bickering turns into decent chemistry once they’re stuck parenting a baby alien together. The creature effects are decent for the budget. Nothing essential, but it passes the time pleasantly enough.
