Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Kira, Odo, and Garak travel behind enemy lines to aid Damar’s rebellion against the Dominion. On DS9, Dr. Bashir discovers something disastrous during his research, and Chancellor Gowron arrives on the station with an agenda of his own.
Our Take
A busy setup hour that mostly gets the pieces moving, and the Kira-led mission to train Damar’s rebels gives the episode its best spark, especially once Kira has to navigate being a Bajoran giving orders to Cardassians. The Bashir and O’Brien subplot lands a genuinely unsettling twist, though Gowron’s arrival feels like table-setting for later. Worth it for the momentum alone.
