Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Ezri returns to her family home on New Sydney to seek assistance in locating Chief O’Brien, who has disappeared while searching for the widow of a dead friend.
Our Take
This one feels like a detour, spending its hour on Ezri’s messy family drama instead of the mystery that’s supposedly driving it. The mother-daughter friction has some real bite to it, and Ezri finally gets room to be a person rather than a Dax placeholder, but the resolution comes too easily. Fine if you like character pieces, skippable if you’re here for the season’s momentum.
