Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Kira is abducted and taken to Empok Nor by the Cult of the Pah-wraiths and discovers that the group is now led by “the Master” – Gul Dukat.
Our Take
A creepy premise that mostly works thanks to Marc Alaimo, who plays Dukat’s false piety with just enough charm to make the cult members’ devotion believable. Kira gets a solid central role as the voice of reason, though the middle stretch sags while the episode restates its point about blind faith. The ending wraps things up too fast, but it’s a satisfyingly unsettling hour.
