Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Sisko is chosen to lead an invasion into Cardassian territory, ignoring a warning of impending doom if he leaves DS9 from the Prophets, resulting in fatal consequences for a member of the crew.
Our Take
A heavy, grim season closer that mostly earns its weight, though the battle planning feels rushed compared to the character stuff around it. Terry Farrell gets a genuinely affecting sendoff, and Avery Brooks does strong work as a man unraveling after ignoring a warning he can’t take back. The Dukat thread lands hard. Worth it, even if the war logistics get shortchanged.
