Summary
Commanded by Captain Sisko, the Federation fleet begins it’s mission to retake DS9 before the Dominion can bring down the wormhole minefield. On the station, Kira’s resistance cell do or diely try to sabotage the main computer, and Quark seeks out an unexpected ally to help save Rom.
Our Take
A big, satisfying payoff episode with actual space battles, which the show rarely attempted before this. The fleet action holds up well and the station subplot keeps things tense, though the wormhole resolution feels a bit too mystical for my taste. Worth your time even if the ending waves away some of the stakes.
