Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Feeling depressed, Quark returns home to Ferenginar to visit his mother, but doesn’t know whether to be panicked or overjoyed when he learns that she is now the secret lover of the Grand Nagus.
Our Take
A lightweight comedy hour that mostly works thanks to Wallace Shawn’s Zek and the sheer awkwardness of Quark walking in on his mother’s new romance. Some jokes land, others feel like recycled Ferengi bits about lobes and latinum. It’s a fun detour with a few good laughs, but nothing here will matter later, so watch it if you’re in the mood for fluff.
