Summary
A transporter emergency aboard the USS Orinoco replaces the characters in Dr. Bashir’s secret agent holosuite program with the physical forms DS9’s senior staff.
Our Take
A goofy change of pace that mostly works thanks to Siddig clearly having a blast playing James Bond. The retro spy aesthetic is fun and Kira as a femme fatale is a highlight, though the technobabble plot device holding everyone hostage is thin stuff. It’s fluff, but charming fluff, and a nice breather before the season gets heavy again.
