Summary

While overseeing an evacuation mission, Kira must try to persuade a stubborn old farmer to leave his home. Back on the station, Jake and Nog set out to turn an inordinate amount of seemingly worthless condiments into profit.

Our Take

Kira carrying the emotional weight here mostly works, and the standoff with the stubborn farmer gives Nana Visitor some real scenes to dig into, even if the moral dilemma wraps up a bit too neatly. The Jake and Nog B-plot about selling yamok sauce is forgettable filler. A decent character hour, but skippable unless you’re invested in Kira.
