Summary
Lwaxana Troi visits the Enterprise, but she’s preoccupied by a dark secret she has carried for years.
Our Take
This one earns points for giving Majel Barrett actual dramatic material instead of the usual comic-relief Lwaxana shtick, and the reveal of her buried grief lands harder than expected. The telepathic alien subplot is thin stuff though, and the pacing sags in the middle. Worth watching for the Troi family material alone, just don’t expect a classic.
