Our Take
A change-of-pace episode that trades Dakota’s usual baddies for a family trip to Ghana, and the slower pace mostly works in its favor. The Anansi team-up is fun and the show’s willingness to engage with African culture directly was rare for kids’ animation in 2003. It drags a bit in the middle, but the heart is genuine and it’s an easy, worthwhile watch.
