Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Clark Kent has evidence to clear a condemned man from sentence of death, but the situation complicates when Superman survives a murder attempt on Clark planned by dirty cop Detective Bowman. Superman doesn’t want to sacrifice his dual identity, but he doesn’t want an innocent man to be killed for a crime he didn’t commit.
Our Take
A surprisingly grim episode that digs into the logistics of Clark’s double life more honestly than the show usually dares. The mystery itself is fairly thin and you’ll guess the villain early, but the moral squeeze Superman finds himself in carries real weight. The ending lands with a chill you don’t expect from a kids’ cartoon. Worth a watch, even if the pacing sags in the middle.
