Summary
After Jax-Ur gains his powers, he and Mala imprison Superman in the Phantom Zone, smash the projector, and begin their conquest of Earth. With the help of Professor Hamilton, Superman must find a way to escape from the Phantom Zone and deal with the two corrupt soldiers.
Our Take
The middle sags once Superman gets zapped into the Phantom Zone, and his escape feels too quick and convenient to build much tension. The final brawl with Jax-Ur and Mala delivers some decent action, but the villains stay pretty flat beyond being strong and mean. A serviceable conclusion that wraps things up without ever getting exciting.
