Episode Summary & Review
Summary
A lovelorn pyrotechnic engineer, Garfield Lynns, gets dumped by a big time singer named Cassidy. Lynns becomes the supervillain Firefly, bent on burning the woman who burned him.
Our Take
A pretty thin villain-of-the-week hour that leans hard on the rejected-nice-guy angle without digging deep enough to make Lynns interesting. The fire effects look great and Cassidy’s stage scenes have real atmosphere, but the story beats are predictable from the first act. Watchable if you’re completing the season, though the ending is surprisingly dark for what’s otherwise a forgettable setup.
