Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Someone has put a hit out on Gotham’s toughest cop, Harvey Bullock. After surviving several near misses, Bullock realizes he has no choice but to ask his arch rival Batman to help him discover who is behind the murder attempts. During their investigation, Bullock learns that his gruff and mean spirited manner has created enemies in the unlikeliest of people.
Our Take
This one trades the usual supervillain theatrics for a straightforward detective story, and it mostly works because Bullock is fun to spend time with, even at his worst. The mystery resolves a bit too neatly and the pacing sags in the middle, but the ending lands a decent emotional note. Worth a watch if you like the character, though it won’t convert anyone.
