Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Using microchips stolen from the Mad Hatter, the Joker brainwashes famous comedians into committing crazy crimes in order to ruin their reputations. As it turns out, the comedians are the judges who tossed the Joker out of the Gotham Comedy Competition the year before. Now, the Clown Prince of Crime wants to seek his revenge, and Batman and Robin must foil the Joker’s plot.
Our Take
A middling Joker outing that leans on a petty grudge as its whole premise, which is funny for about five minutes before it wears thin. The brainwashed comedian gags get some decent laughs and the voice work is as solid as ever, but the mystery solves itself too quickly and the ending fizzles. Fine for a casual watch, just don’t expect the A-tier Joker episodes.
