Episode Summary & Review
Summary
While investigating the disappearances of Gotham’s homeless in an undercover disguise, Bruce Wayne is kidnapped and imprisoned in a chain gang mining camp, suffering from amnesia. Alfred must thus track him down, help him escape, and free the rest of the prisoners.
Our Take
A weird detour for the series, sending an amnesiac Bruce to a desert labor camp where the mystery gets solved mostly through Alfred’s detective work. The villain is forgettable and the middle section drags, though the mining camp scenes have a gritty edge the show rarely attempts. Worth a look for the novelty, but it’s a middle-tier episode you won’t think about afterward.
