Summary
Mobster Rupert Thorne attempts to use Harvey Dent’s secret split personality to blackmail him. But when Dent meets with Thorne at a chemical plant, “Big Bad Harv” takes over, and the resulting confrontation leads to an explosion that horribly scars half of Dent’s face.
Our Take
A heavy, surprisingly tragic hour for a kids’ cartoon, and Richard Moll deserves credit for making both sides of Harvey feel like real people. The pacing drags a bit in the middle with the blackmail setup, but the finale lands hard and gives the show its first genuinely unsettling ending. Worth your time, even if it’s not the season’s most fun watch.
